Social Learning

Social learning and effective stakeholder engagement are key components of the SAF process and have made a significant difference to the success of the SAF implementation in the SPICOSA project.  Better understanding the processes, and power, of social learning and those mechanisms for promoting learning and the development of effective working relationships will assist in maximising the success of the SAF process and its outputs.  Materials found here offer an assessment of social learning between both scientists and stakeholders and between scientists within the SPICOSA project SAF implementations.  Practical lessons and guidelines for the improved design and facilitation of learning opportunities with the SAF are provided as well as broader reflections about the role of learning within an engagement process.
